Los Angeles Rams at Seattle Seahawks
- Spread Odds: Seattle Seahawks -1.5
- Total: 49.0
Thursday Night Football features a terrific matchup of NFC West rivals when the Seahawks host the Rams. These two teams both enter Week 5 with 3-1 records and tied for second place in the division. Seattle wants to win this game with defense, while the Rams love to score points.
Los Angeles has plenty of weapons on offense, but their defense just gave up 55 points a week ago. The Seahawks have yet to really dominate a game, but they always find a way to win.
Bet the Seattle Seahawks -1.5 over the Los Angeles Rams on Thursday night.
Baltimore Ravens at Pittsburgh Steelers
- Spread Odds: Baltimore Ravens -3.5
- Total: 42.5
Pittsburgh got its first win of the season on Monday night, and its offense finally showed up. The Steelers have plenty of backups on the field, but their defense still has the ability to play great.
Baltimore wants to run the ball like crazy, but at some point, they are going to have to complete a deep pass. Quarterback Lamar Jackson has been great, but he has also taken some huge hits.
Rivalry games are always tough to predict, but take the Steelers +3.5 to pull off the upset in this game.
Chicago Bears vs. Oakland Raiders
- Spread Odds: Chicago Bears -4.5
- Total: 41.0
The Bears and Raiders head to London this weekend for a showdown. The Bears are 3-1 so far this season, while the Raiders are a surprising 2-2.
There will be plenty of talk about Khalil Mack in this game, and he should have a huge game against his former team. The Bears have a backup in at quarterback in Chase Daniel, but their defense is just way too good.
Bet the Chicago Bears -4.5 over the Oakland Raiders in Week 5.
Arizona Cardinals at Cincinnati Bengals
- Spread Odds: Cincinnati Bengals -4.0
- Total: 48.0
Even though this is a battle of winless teams, this could be one of the most exciting games of the weekend. Both of these teams love to throw the ball, and there will be plenty of points scored.
The Cardinals have struggled a bit since their opening-game tie to the Detroit Lions, and their defense is a mess. Cincinnati got blasted on Monday night, but they will regroup for this game.
Bet the Bengals -4.0 over Kyler Murray and the Cardinals in this game.
Jacksonville Jaguars at Carolina Panthers
- Spread Odds: Carolina Panthers -3.5
- Total: 41.0
Kyle Allen vs. Gardner Minshew in a battle of backup quarterbacks will be the big storyline in this game. An even bigger storyline should be that both teams have won two straight games to get back into playoff contention.
Jacksonville has been impressive of late, but playing on the road is never easy. Look for the Panthers’ defense to lead them to another victory in this game.
Bet the Carolina Panthers -3.5 over the Jaguars.
Minnesota Vikings at New York Giants
- Spread Odds: Minnesota Vikings -4.5
- Total: 45.0
The Minnesota Vikings have been a complete mess on offense so far this season, and the Chicago Bears just shut them down in Week 4. Kirk Cousins has not been even close to his huge contract the Vikings signed him to.
New York has won two straight games under rookie quarterback Daniel Jones, but he will face an elite defense in this game. Even without Saquon Barkley, look for the Giants to win their third straight.
Take the +4.5 points and pick the Giants in this one.
New England Patriots at Washington Redskins
- Spread Odds: New England Patriots -15.5
- Total: 43.5
The Patriots enter this game with a 4-0 record, and the Redskins are 0-4. There is a reason that this game has such a huge spread, but Washington will be playing at home.
New England is undefeated thanks to its defense, which is allowing less than seven points per game. Washington can’t figure out who to play at quarterback, and their offense has been a complete mess.
This game won’t be close, and taking the Patriots at -15.5 should be a comfortable win.
New York Jets at Philadelphia Eagles
- Spread Odds: Philadelphia Eagles -14.0
- Total: 44.5
The Jets were supposed to be much improved this season, but an injury to Sam Darnold has derailed their season. New York is averaging just 11.0 points per game this season while giving up 23 points per contest.
Philadelphia has had an interesting season, but they still have a chance to be one of the top teams in the league. The Eagles are getting healthy again, and that makes them dangerous.
This game will likely be over before halftime, and the Eagles are going to roll.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at New Orleans Saints
- Spread Odds: New Orleans Saints -3.0
- Total: 47.0
The Bucs stunned the Rams in Week 4, putting up a whopping 55 points in that win. Tampa Bay will need that same type of offensive production to knock off the explosive Saints in New Orleans.
New Orleans is 2-0 under Teddy Bridgewater, and he has done a great job in leading the Saints offense. The Saints defense also has the capability of making some great plays, and they will be aggressive in this game.
Tampa Bay will not be able to pull off its second upset in a row, as the Saints roll.
Atlanta Falcons at Houston Texans
- Spread Odds: Houston Texans -5.0
- Total: 48.5
If you are a fan of high-octane offenses, then this is the game for you. The Falcons and Texans both feature terrific quarterbacks, and there will be plenty of points scored in this game. Atlanta is just 1-3 this season, while Houston is 2-2.
Atlanta just doesn’t have much defense, and that will be a big difference in this game. Look for the Texans’ defense to get some big stops in leading the team to victory.
Bet the Houston Texans -5.0 over Atlanta in this game.
Denver Broncos at Los Angeles Chargers
- Spread Odds: Los Angeles Chargers -6.5
- Total: 44.5
The Denver Broncos continue to play in close games, but they just can’t get that elusive first win of the season. Denver won’t be in a close game this weekend, as the Los Angeles Chargers are a much better team.
The Chargers should have Melvin Gordon back in the fold in this game, and their offense should take off to a new level. Los Angeles has been disappointing a bit this season, but that will change soon.
Take the Chargers -6.5 over the Broncos in this game.
Green Bay Packers at Dallas Cowboys
- Spread Odds: Dallas Cowboys -3.5
- Total: 46.5
This should be one of the best games of the weekend and could very well be a playoff preview. Both offenses have the chance to be great this season, but defense will likely decide this one.
The Cowboys suffered a tough 12-10 loss to New Orleans a week ago, but getting back to Dallas will do them some good. Green Bay suffered its first loss in Week 4 and is reeling a bit.
Take the Dallas Cowboys -3.5 over the Packers in this game.
Indianapolis Colts at Kansas City Chiefs
- Spread Odds: Kansas City Chiefs -11.0
- Total: 57.0
The Chiefs are an absolute juggernaut on offense, especially when playing at home. Patrick Mahomes is without a doubt the top quarterback in the NFL, and he will have a big game in this one.
Indianapolis has played well since the retirement of Andrew Luck, but that won’t get the job done on Sunday. The Colts’ defense will need to be great, but they still won’t be able to keep this one close.
Eleven points is a large spread, but the Chiefs cover in this game.
Cleveland Browns at San Francisco 49ers
- Spread Odds: San Francisco 49ers -3.5
- Total: 46.5
The Cleveland Browns put up 40 points on the mighty Ravens in Week 4 and have plenty of confidence. Baker Mayfield is capable of leading his team to a victory in this one.
San Francisco enters this week 3-0, and they are going to leave the week 4-0. The 49ers have been one of the biggest surprises in the NFL so far this season. San Francisco rolls, and at -3.5 they are the right pick in this one.
