Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Carolina Panthers
- Spread Odds: Carolina Panthers -6.5
- Total: 49.5
A pair of 0-1 teams will kick off Week 2 of the NFL season on Thursday night. The Panthers come into this game as 6.5-point favorites, and they really played well in their season opener. Carolina suffered a three-point loss to the Los Angeles Rams, but their offense played terrifically.
Tampa Bay suffered a 31-17 loss to the San Francisco 49ers in Week 1 and struggled throughout. The Buccaneers should be much better this season, but they aren’t winning this game. Take the Carolina Panthers -6.5 to win this NFL Week 2 betting matchup.
San Francisco 49ers at Cincinnati Bengals
- Spread Odds: San Francisco 49ers -2
- Total: 45
The San Francisco 49ers are two-point road favorites in this game, which is a bit of a surprise. The 49ers did win their season opener, but that was a home game against the Buccaneers.
Cincinnati went into Seattle and nearly pulled off a huge upset in Week 1. The Bengals can really score, and they will throw the ball a ton. San Francisco is just too unproven to bet on at this time, and the Cincinnati Bengals are going to win this game outright.
Los Angeles Chargers at Detroit Lions
- Spread Odds: Los Angeles Chargers -3
- Total: 47.5
The Lions came away with a tie in their season opener against the Arizona Cardinals, but things get more difficult this week. Detroit will host the Los Angeles Chargers and is a three-point underdog on Sunday. The Lions better get some more defense in this game.
The Chargers put up 30 points in Week 1, and they didn’t miss running back Melvin Gordon at all. Los Angeles might have the most talented offense in football, and they will blow out the Lions in this game.
Minnesota Vikings at Green Bay Packers
- Spread Odds: Green Bay Packers -3
- Total: 44.5
The Packers stunned the Bears in the season opener on Thursday night, but they didn’t play very well. Green Bay had just 10 points in that win, and there are still plenty of question marks around Aaron Rodgers and head coach Matt LaFleur.
Minnesota was dominant in its Week 1 victory over the Atlanta Falcons. The Vikings jumped out to a huge lead, and they didn’t look back.
Green Bay is a three-point favorite in this game, but they aren’t the better team. Minnesota has a better offense, and their defense will shut down Rodgers and company in earning an upset win.
Indianapolis Colts at Tennessee Titans
- Spread Odds: Tennessee Titans -3
- Total: 44.5
AFC South rivals are set to meet up Sunday afternoon in Nashville. The Titans were a surprise winner in Week 1, and the Colts actually played well but were unable to win their game.
Tennessee put up an impressive 43 points against a good Cleveland Browns team, and they will be three-point favorites in this game. The Colts managed 24 points in their loss, but their offense wasn’t as sharp without Andrew Luck.
This game should be close, but the Tennessee Titans are going to move to 2-0 with a touchdown win.
New England Patriots at Miami Dolphins
- Spread Odds: New England Patriots -18.5
- Total: 48
The Patriots are a whopping 18.5-point favorite in this game, but it’s well-deserved. New England did almost everything right in its 33-3 win over the Steelers on Sunday night.
Miami was supposed to be bad this season, but losing by 49 points in its season opener was a little much. The Dolphins don’t have much talent on their roster, and this should be another easy win for the New England Patriots.
Buffalo Bills at New York Giants
- Spread Odds: Buffalo Bills -3.5
- Total: 43.5
The Buffalo Bills are 3.5-point favorites over the New York Giants in this game, despite playing on the road. Buffalo was impressive in earning a season-opening 17-16 win over the New York Jets.
The Giants did little right in their 35-17 loss to the rival Dallas Cowboys. Eli Manning will be under center again for New York, but Daniel Jones is waiting in the wings. Buffalo is going to get off to a 2-0 start with a comfortable win over the New York Giants.
Seattle Seahawks at Pittsburgh Steelers
- Spread Odds: Pittsburgh Steelers -3.5
- Total: 46.5
The Steelers are 3.5-point favorites in this game despite getting blown out in the season opener. Pittsburgh didn’t find the end zone in a 33-3 loss to the New England Patriots, and life without Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell didn’t start well.
Seattle earned a come-from-behind 21-20 win against the Cincinnati Bengals, but the Seahawks did not play well. Quarterback Russell Wilson had less than 200 passing yards, and the Seahawks struggled to run the ball.
Look for the Steelers to bounce back at home in this game and win this contest by a touchdown or more.
Arizona Cardinals at Baltimore Ravens
- Spread Odds: Baltimore Ravens -14
- Total: 46.5
Baltimore put up 59 points in its season opener, and quarterback Lamar Jackson had some eye-popping stats. The Ravens want to run the ball, but their pass offense was sharp in Week 1 as well.
Arizona was impressive in earning a tie with a great comeback against the Detroit Lions. The Cardinals have a rookie phenom in Kyler Murray at quarterback, and they want to play fast on offense.
Baltimore is a 14-point favorite in this game, but that feels like too much. Look for the Cardinals to keep this game close before suffering the loss.
Jacksonville Jaguars at Houston Texans
- Spread Odds: Houston Texans -8.5
- Total: 43.5
The Texans were a tough-luck loser in Week 1, suffering a loss to the Saints as the final horn sounded. Houston looked extremely sharp on offense in the loss, and they are 8.5-point favorites in Week 2.
Jacksonville will be playing rookie Gardner Minshew at quarterback in this game, and that could spell disaster. The Jaguars don’t have a ton of offensive talent, and things could go south in a hurry.
The Texans are really good, and they will win this game with ease.
Kansas City Chiefs at Oakland Raiders
- Spread Odds: Kansas City Chiefs -9.5
- Total: 53
Oakland had a drama-filled offseason, but it looked sharp in its season opener. The Raiders stunned the Denver Broncos with a comfortable win, but things will be much tougher for Jon Gruden’s squad in this game.
Kansas City blew out the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 1, coming away with a 40-26 win. The Chiefs will be without wide receiver Tyreek Hill, but they still have plenty of weapons on offense. Kansas City is a 9.5-point favorite in this game, and it’s for good reason.
The Chiefs are one of the top teams in the league, and they will blow out the Raiders on Sunday.
Chicago Bears at Denver Broncos
- Spread Odds: Denver Broncos -1.5
- Total: 40.5
Vic Fangio and the Broncos will square off against his old team in the Chicago Bears. Fangio’s Broncos suffered a loss to the Raiders in Week 1, but are 1.5-point favorites in this game. Denver has a terrific defense, but aging quarterback Joe Flacco struggled in Week 1.
The Bears scored just three points in the season opener, and they need more from quarterback Mitchell Trubisky. Chicago has a terrific defense as well, and they should make life difficult for Flacco.
This game will be tight, but there is no way that the Bears are going to go 0-2.
New Orleans Saints at Los Angeles Rams
- Spread Odds: Los Angeles Rams -2.5
- Total: 53
A rematch of last season’s NFC Championship Game highlights the Week 2 schedule. Both the Rams and Saints won their season openers, and both teams looked sharp on offense.
Don’t expect there to be much defense played in this game, and the first team to 50 might be the winner. The Rams are 2.5-point favorites, but the Saints will be out for revenge. Look for the New Orleans Saints to win this game outright to move to 2-0 on the season.
Philadelphia Eagles at Atlanta Falcons
- Spread Odds: Philadelphia Eagles -1
- Total: 51
The Sunday Night Football matchup features the Eagles at the Falcons. Philadelphia is a one-point favorite in this game, and it should be a terrific battle.
Atlanta did little right in a blowout loss to the Minnesota Vikings, and they will need to regroup in a hurry. Philadelphia got a tremendous performance from DeSean Jackson in Week 1, and the Eagles have plenty of weapons.
The Falcons will play much better in this game, but it won’t be enough to win. Bet the Philadelphia Eagles in this game.
Cleveland Browns at New York Jets
- Spread Odds: Cleveland Browns -2.5
- Total: 45.5
The Week 2 Monday Night Football game features a pair of 0-1 teams. The Jets blew a late lead in suffering a 17-16 loss to the Buffalo Bills. Cleveland got blown out by a beat-up Tennessee Titans team, after a preseason full of hype.
There likely won’t be a ton of points in this game, and that favors the New York Jets. New York is a 2.5-point underdog at home, but it will win this game on Monday night.
