Los Angeles Chargers at Oakland Raiders
Spread Odds: Los Angeles Chargers -1.0
The Oakland Raiders want to run the ball, and Los Angeles is going to counter by throwing it. The Chargers defense was able to play well in Week 9, as they completely shut down the Green Bay Packers.
Oakland’s rookie running back Josh Jacobs has been impressive this season, but the Raiders just don’t have much defense. The Raiders are going to give up some big plays on Thursday night, and it’s going to cost them.
Take the Chargers -1.0 over the Raiders in this game.
Detroit Lions at Chicago Bears
- Spread Odds: Chicago Bears -2.5
- Total: 42.5
The Chicago Bears were the NFC North champions a season ago, but four straight losses have dropped them to 3-5. Chicago still has a terrific defense, but Mitchell Trubisky and the Bears offense has done next to nothing.
Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford is having a monster season in Detroit, but he hasn’t gotten a ton of help. Detroit also has struggled to get stops on defense, and it might be just what the Bears offense needs to get back on track.
Take the Bears -2.5 over the Lions in this game.
Baltimore Ravens at Cincinnati Bengals
- Spread Odds: Baltimore Ravens -10.0
- Total: 46.0
The Baltimore Ravens just knocked off the New England Patriots on Sunday Night Football, and they will have plenty of momentum. Quarterback Lamar Jackson suddenly looks like an MVP candidate for the Ravens.
Cincinnati is 0-8 this season and just benched quarterback Andy Dalton. There isn’t really anything that this team does well, and this game won’t be close.
Take the Ravens -10.0 in a rout over the Bengals.
Kansas City Chiefs at Tennessee Titans
- Spread Odds: Kansas City Chiefs -3.5
- Total: 48.0
The status of quarterback Patrick Mahomes will be a huge factor in this game. Kansas City is still the better team without Mahomes, but they would be a huge favorite with him on the field.
Tennessee’s defense was gashed in Week 9 by the Carolina Panthers, and that spells trouble against the explosive Chiefs. The Titans also struggle to score, and that won’t work against Kansas City.
With or without Mahomes, the Chiefs should roll. Take the Chiefs -3.5 over the Tennessee Titans.
Atlanta Falcons at New Orleans Saints
- Spread Odds: New Orleans Saints -12.5
- Total: 51.0
Atlanta has lost its last six games; New Orleans is riding a six-game winning streak. This used to be one of the best rivalries in football, but there is a large gap between these teams this season.
New Orleans has an explosive offense, especially at home, and the Falcons can’t play any defense. Atlanta will try to score with the Saints, but that’s not going to work out for them.
This game won’t be close as the Saints -12.5 roll over the Falcons.
New York Giants at New York Jets
- Spread Odds: New York Giants -2.0
- Total: 43
This game might mean a lot to fans of each team, but otherwise, this is not a game worth watching. The Giants and Jets have combined for a 3-13 record this season, and both teams have plenty of issues.
Sam Darnold of the Jets and Daniel Jones of the Giants are two terrific young quarterbacks, but each of them is still prone to mistakes. This could be a great matchup in a few years, but it’s not going to be pretty on Sunday.
Take the Giants -2.0 over the Jets in a game where both teams struggle to score.
Arizona Cardinals at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
- Spread Odds: Tampa Bay Buccaneers -4.0
- Total: 52.0
If you are a fan of offense, then this is the game to watch. The Arizona Cardinals run the “Air Raid” offense and throw the ball a ton, and Tampa Bay loves to pass as well.
Tampa Bay has really struggled on defense this season, but that might not matter in this one. The Cardinals have shown flashes of greatness, but their young QB still turns it over too much.
Take the Buccaneers -4.0 over the Cardinals in this game.
Buffalo Bills at Cleveland Browns
- Spread Odds: Cleveland Browns -3.0
- Total: 40.5
Things have gone from bad to worse in Cleveland, but they are favored this week. Quarterback Baker Mayfield has struggled both on and off the field, and it’s another lost season for the Browns.
Buffalo is 6-2 so far this season, and it is a perfect 3-0 on the road. The Bills don’t have a ton of stars on this roster, but they are a very solid team.
Take the Bills +3.0 to beat the Browns in Week 10.
Miami Dolphins at Indianapolis Colts
- Spread Odds: Indianapolis Colts -10.5
- Total: 44.0
The Miami Dolphins finally won a game! Miami has been playing well of late, and it earned a 26-18 over the New York Jets in Week 9.
Indianapolis has been impressive this season in winning games without the retired Andrew Luck, but they will also be without Jacoby Brissett in this game. Playing with their third-string QB won’t kill this team, but it’s going make things more difficult.
The Colts will win, but take the +10.5 points for the Dolphins in this one.
Carolina Panthers at Green Bay Packers
- Spread Odds: Green Bay Packers -4.5
- Total: 47.5
Aaron Rodgers and the Packers offense was shut down by the Chargers in Week 9, but look for it to bounce back at home. Green Bay has been dominant at home this season, and its offense is still loaded.
The Panthers have a star in running back Christian McCaffrey, and he will see the ball a ton in this game. The problem is that the Panthers defense has struggled, and Carolina needs more balance on offense.
Don’t mess around with this one; take the Packers -4.5 at home.
Los Angeles Rams at Pittsburgh Steelers
- Spread Odds: Los Angeles Rams -3.5
- Total: 44.5
The Pittsburgh Steelers have played their way back into the playoff race by winning three straight games. Pittsburgh stunned the Colts in Week 9 despite being in the bottom five in the league in both rushing and passing yards.
Los Angeles appears to have figured things out after a small skid. The Rams can score points with anyone in the league, and their defense is much improved with Jalen Ramsey in the fold.
The Rams are going to win this game, and win it comfortably. Take LA -3.5 in this game.
Minnesota Vikings at Dallas Cowboys
- Spread Odds: Dallas Cowboys -3.0
- Total: 47.0
There will be plenty of star power on the field when these two teams meet up on Sunday. Both teams have been winning games with their offense of late, but they also take defense pretty serious.
Dallas just came from behind to knock off rival New York on Monday Night Football, and the Cowboys have some momentum. Minnesota was a tough-luck loser to the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 9.
The Cowboys are the better team, so taking them at -3.0 at home is the right play.
Seattle Seahawks at San Francisco 49ers
- Spread Odds: San Francisco 49ers -6.0
- Total: 46.5
The 49ers are the lone remaining undefeated team in the NFL. San Francisco has a dominant defense this season, and it is one of the best running teams in the NFL.
Seattle is a much better team at home, but quarterback Russell Wilson makes enough plays to pick up wins on the road as well. The Seahawks are well-coached, and they just have a knack for winning games.
San Francisco is going to win, but it’s going to be close. Take the +6.0 points and the Seahawks on MNF.
