When it comes to Seattle Seahawks betting, there are a lot of choices for football fans. Although the team made the playoffs last season it was just the one game – losing to Dallas in the Wild Card matchup.
With a tough division, the Seahawks can sometimes find it hard to go deep into the season and that will be the same case this year. The win total has been set at 8.5 this year and as far as the over-under bet goes there is some value in the over wager.
The Rams look good for the NFC West so a lot will depend on how the 49ers come back this year. Arizona should be beatable but it is a tough division for Seattle.
The AFC North provides the inter-conference games this year so look for the spread bets as well when it comes to this team.
Russell Wilson will lead the offense once again – under head coach Pete Carroll who returns for his 10th year. This partnership is key as there have been a number of moves in and out of the roster over the summer.
The run game will be the main point of attack so any Seattle Seahawks betting markets or prop bets concerning the running backs should also be considered.
Making the playoffs won’t be easy considering the difficult schedule the Seahawks face. But there is enough talent in the roster for Seattle to make it to the postseason and possibly surprise a few of the more favored teams.

History of Seattle Seahawks
The Seahawks enjoy one of the most passionate home crowds in the entire NFL and have been known to count on its contribution as the ‘12th man’.
Team Creation
The Seattle Seahawks franchise was established in 1974 and joined the NFL as an expansion team in 1976. It has played as part of the NFC West since 2002.
Best Seasons
Although there were a few appearances in the playoffs in the earlier years, the 1983 AFC Championship defeat to the Raiders was the furthest the Seahawks had ever gotten before 2005.
That was the year the Seahawks made its first-ever Super Bowl, losing to Pittsburgh 21-10. But it is Pete Carroll that has overseen the finest years in the franchise’s history – culminating in Super Bowl triumph in 2013.
The Seahawks beat the Denver Broncos 43-8 with Russell Wilson the winning quarterback. Linebacker Malcolm Smith was the game’s MVP. The New England Patriots beat the Seahawks in the Super Bowl the following year. That said, the Seahawks usually make the playoffs.
Most Famous Players
Although Russell Wilson was the quarterback who led the Seahawks to its only Super Bowl victory in 2013 the most famous QB in franchise history is Matt Hasselbeck.
Hasselbeck played for ten years and is the all-time passing leader with almost 30,000 yards in his career in Seattle.
Steve Largent is the best wide receiver in franchise history. In his time with the Seahawks, he caught 100 touchdowns and holds a number of receiving records including total yards.
Shaun Alexander leads the way in rushing yards over the years, but one of the most high profile running backs for the Seahawks in recent years was Marshawn Lynch. He was part of the Super Bowl-winning team in 2014 and is definitely one of the most well-known players in franchise history.
